Biography

Galina Hasanova is an illustrator and graphic designer originally from Mary, Turkmenistan. Determined to push her limits and inspired by those who traveled and studied abroad, she pursued her passion for art and language, earning scholarships that brought her to the United States in 2019.

Now a graduate with a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design, Galina brings a diverse set of skills and a vibrant portfolio that bridges visual storytelling with cross-cultural understanding. Fluent in Russian, Turkmen, and English, she uses her multilingual background to enrich her artistic voice and connect with people across the world.

Alongside her creative practice, Galina contributes to CeLCAR by designing language textbook materials with a focus on accessibility for diverse learning styles. Her work highlights the power of graphic design as a tool not only for visual storytelling but also for shaping modern education, making instructional materials more inclusive, engaging, and impactful, especially in the field of linguistics.
