Joshua Sims is a Ph.D. Candidate in Linguistics and Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University. Focusing on the phonology of vowel harmony, he has studied Mongolian tongue root articulation using 3D/4D Ultrasound at the IU Speech Production Laboratory.
Since 2024, he has worked at CeLCAR, contributing to the development of Tibetan: An Elementary Textbook with Rabsal Gedun and Amber Kennedy Kent, as well as editing and developing comprehensive informational pamphlets about the many languages of Central Asia.
