Visiting Scholar, Dr. Mağfiret Kemal Yunusoğlu is a Uyghur-Turk scholar and Associate Professor and Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Department at Beykent University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Dr. Yunusoğlu completed her undergraduate studies at Central Minzu University in Beijing, followed by a Master’s and Ph.D. at Ankara University where her doctoral research focused on metaphors in Buddhist Turkic texts.
Her academic work centers on Turkic languages and literatures, including Uyghur studies, metaphor analysis, and cultural history. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and books, and has delivered research papers internationally, including on the Uyghur language and its written heritage.
