Tserenchunt Legden first came to Indiana University as a visiting lecturer in 2004. In 2007, she launched the university’s first summer intensive Mongolian course. In 2014, Legden was promoted to Senior Lecturer of Mongolian in the Department of Central Eurasian Studies.
Legden serves as CeLCAR's Lead Mongolian Language Developer, where she collaborates with her colleague Uvsh Purev on the development of a variety of Mongolian projects including the Mongolian Proficiency Guidelines, the Intermediate Reading and Listening Modules, Mongolian: An elementary textbook and Mongolian: An intermediate textbook.
