The Honorable Allan Mustard, Retired U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan, and his wife, Ann, visited CeLCAR on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, as part of his visit to Indiana University. We discussed his interests in agricultural and economic concerns, the highlights of his service in Turkmenistan, and the challenges of learning the Turkmen language. He was interested in the activities that the center is involved with through the support of a Language Resource Center grant through Title VI and the U.S. Department of Education, including the center’s current project to develop language materials for introductory Turkmen.
