Dr. Hewa S. Khalid is a Visiting Lecturer, specializing in Central/Sorani and Northern/Kurmanji Kurdish language development and instruction, specifically Kurdish language pedagogy, dialectal variation, language contact, and the sociopolitical dimensions of Kurdish language use.Dr. Khalid has taught and conducted research across various regions, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Rojava (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria), Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Dr. Khalid is CeLCAR's current Kurdish Language Developer, and is working on Sorani Kurdish: An intermediate textbook.
