CeLCAR mourns the passing of Dr. György Kara, a distinguished scholar whose work made lasting contributions to Central Asian and Inner Asian studies.
Professor Kara was an inspiring teacher and mentor whose lasting contributions to Mongolian and Central Asian language studies will continue to shape Indiana University and the field of Mongolic and Central Asian studies for years to come. Our thoughts are with his family.
