CeLCAR has produced working versions of introductory-level textbooks for Pashto, Tajiki, Uzbek and Uyghur.  The textbooks are based on the communicative approach to language learning and include authentic materials collected by CeLCAR developers on-site in Central Asia and Afghanistan.  Each textbook is accompanied by two CDs  containing original audio and video recordings as well as additional activities. The textbooks are being used by all students enrolled in the 2006 Summer Workshop of Slavic East European and Central Asian Languages (SWSEEL) and will be available in the Fall of 2006.
